Rarely. LOL That's what two friends who lived in Victoria told me. I
told them I was going to go out some time in February to see if it was
true. One year for Christmas my wife gave me plane tickets to Vancouver
to visit my friends. It was the trip from hell.
I left home at 4 am in order to make it to Toronto in time to catch a
&:45 flight. I ran into heavy traffic on the way to the airport but we
made it in time. The plane never left until after noon.
We made it to |Vancouver but got stuck in a holding pattern for an hour
while they cleared snow at the airport.... where it never snows. We
finally landed and I made my way to the shuttle bus to the hotel from
which I could catch a bus to Victoria. I got there just in time to see
the shuttle bus leaving so I had to wait for the next one. I caught
the next shuttle and we were approaching the hotel just as the bus for
Victoria left.
I had to wait for the next Victoria bus. I was worried that we were
going to miss the ferry because the roads were bad but we pulled up to
the ferry terminal wit a couple minutes to spare. We didn't make it. The
ferry had to pull out early because, as it was explained, the previous
ferry had turned back due to a medical emergency on board. So.... had
to wait for the next ferry, not hte own that had been turned back.
I finally got to Victoria at 9:30, their time. I should have been their
by noon. There was about 6 inches of snow and traffic wasn't moving
very well. It was gone the next day.
