I had a c5-c6 disc repaired which left my vocal corRAB temporarily paralyzed.
My voice came back, but I now suffer from shortness of breath on exertion and this awful snoring, which I wasn't a snorer before. My daughter was so surprised by the snoring that she recorded me!! My oxygen level goes down into the low 80's while I'm asleep as well.
My ENT says that there is nothing that can be done about it. He says that my vocal corRAB are sluggish ??????? and that it's chronic and there is no cure.
I really hate the fact that I can't breath and snore! When something startles me or like when my dog gets out and I have to try and get her back in the house, I go into a stridor fit. It's so loud..it makes me panic sometimes.
Is there anyone out there who has aquired a snoring problem after surgery?
and by the way, the dr has me on oxyen at night for it, but it doesn't help.
