Snakes on a Plane

Saw it the day it came out - it amazed me by being actually BETTER than the hype suggested :D

At the end everyone stood up and cheered and I've never seen that happen at the cinema before

Just seen this film.It's fantastic!!!
Seriously, just turn off your brain and enjoy.
It's well paced, very funny and quite gory.
It's not the best film I've seen all year but it's by far the most enjoyable.
Don't miss!!!

:D :D

The pitch must have been an all-time classic.

"OK, you got five seconRAB. Four... three..."
"There are these snakes. And they're on a plane."
"Holy crap. Kid, you just saved the American film industry."

Yes, I suppose it looks good for a laugh. I hate the way you're supposed to fall in love with a film ages before it's released though these days, I'm not just talking about this film but the way they market films in general, drumming in to people that something's going to be awesome.

I seen it tonight, too, and it was absolutely fantastic! I enjoyed every single second. It's got everything a great film should have. It's got plenty of jumps and gory scenes, as well as great humour. I was laughing hysterically at parts! And, it's worth it alone just for that one line that comes from Sam Jackson!

Best film I've seen in ages, and I can't wait to see it again.

I loved it too! Everyone seems surprised that it is actually a genuinely good film.

Yes, it was frequently hilarious, but all the characters were pretty well played, and I sympathised with them a lot more than I did in Flightplan or Redeye.

There were a few subtleties too. As Newsnight pointed out, there is a snake featured whose venom has a very hard-to-find antidote. The snake is from the Middle East, of course...

Oh, there was even a snake in the episode of Tales of the Unexpected just now.

I thought Hollywood had finally, decisively run out of ideas when I heard about this film. But then I read the recent Empire article, and I get it now! Who says Americans lack irony?

I loved the story of SLJ's speech at the MTV movie awarRAB - I have total respect for that guy's enthusiasm and hollywood presence. What a dude!

Just read a review which basically reckons the film is brilliant and that the effects are a lot better than previously seen on trailers, great popcorn movie which in turn is not a bad thriller in itself.
