Snakes On A Plane

I loved it but it is very daft. You have to take it in the spirit intended - not remotely seriously! The cast are fantastic; they play it exactly right and you can tell they had a great time making the film. Look at it as a so-bad-its-good experience and you can probably have fun watching it. :)
 
Snakes On A Plane was obviously designed as a standard action flick & only marketed as cult fare when it was obvious the film was a complete turkey in post production.

Not so bad it's good just so bad it should have gone straight to video.
 
I'm not sure you're right there considering the net based marketing going on when the movie was still being filmed, it was clear it was always supposed to be silly.

I like it.
 
its rubbish

what annpoyed me more than anything was the film makers arrogance that they were making a cult film - i remember SLJ saying how big it would be, yet by the time it came out everyone was so bored of it it flopped massively.

also - they kept banging on about how little CGI they used and how dangerous it was with all those snakes on the set. do they think we're stupid?? i couldn't actually see ANY snakes that weren't obviously CGI
 
Snakes On A Plane was shot under the generic title of Flight 121.

The revised title & the infamous "Get these mo-fo'in, snakes off this mo-fo'in plane" line were all added in post-production as part of the viral marketing campaign.
 
it was whilst they were making it i think, not post production. they started listening to what 'the internet' was saying.

hence ramping up the sex and violence too which to me seem really out of place in it - the snakes biting that woman's breast and that guy's dick, the man getting the heel in his head...all seem a bit tasteless and 'nasty' for what is after all a disaster movie
 
It may be un-British of me....but I thought the best moment was
when the bad guy feeRAB the toy dog to the giant boa constrictor.
 
I like
when he is crushed and eaten by the python, and then later when the window is shot open you see the python fly by with his body inside.
 
it isn't even a 'good' bad film its just rubbish. 'slither' was out around the same time and that was a much better horror comedy.

SLJ has to be the worlRAB' laziest actor - he thinks all he has to do it turn up and be 'cool'..
 
Just watched half of this drivel film..lol.... I thought it be scary, too much comedy in it..I deleted it now, cos if i wanted a comedy flick , well i would of watched Airplane film :D
