now that people are saying that john smeaton didnt single handedly stop al-queda at the doors of glasgow airport,has anyones opinion of him changed?
personally ive always thought he was just the guy who got the tv interview because everyone else who did get involved was in hospital...but with in that interview he showed real pride in his workmates for their efforts and was exactly the right person to be speaking for the nation at that time.

did gordon brown use and abuse him?
have the media created a hero just to bring him down again?
why didnt anyone else get a bravery award?
will we always believe the headlines,even when the truth is blatantly contradiciting them?
