Smear test confusion/worry?

Had my 1st smear test today. There's was blood on the swab after it is that normal? Also she said my cervix looks pregnant but that's the effect of my pill! Anyone heard this?
My periods a day overdue so that kinda alarmed me
Also should add that I did a pregnancy test yesterday on the day it was due and it was negative.

Read somewhere that they can be negative because it's so early
 
well your period is just one day late, wait another two weeks to see if you get it or not, and it is very normal for there to be blood on the swab.
