SmartAccess Allowance for Pearl

Ok...so I signed up with t-mo a little over a week ago. I originally purchased some gay Nokia until I got paid again, and I got the Pearl. My plan is the MyFaves 600 min with unlim. text messaging. The people at the booth apparently forgot to mention that I would not be able to send or receive picture messages without the Data plan. So I asked them to sign me up for the data plan...and I can't do it without dropping my plan down to 300 min....no my faves...

My question for you guys is how or is there a way to still get internet? I downloaded opera Mini, installed it, and that won't work. Please help...my phone has been castrated!!!
 
Welcome to the Stacks Madetosink. Make sure TMO signs you up for a Blackberry data plan, not the T-Zones plan. That will allow you to send/receive emails, surf the net and use BB Messenger. It also works with MyFaves.

Go to upgrade plan on your TMO account site & check out the link that says "change plan"...you can usually add a $20/monthly unlimited BB BIS plan w/ unlimited sms,internet, etc...If not, you may be able to change to a BB Minutes & Mail plan. Unfortunately, MyFaves is not an option w/ the BB Minutes & Mail plan. If you change your plan, you usually have to extend your contract for an additional year. Good Luck!

I took off the $14.99 package in an effort to save money until I can get my other phone converted to prepaid. I hope the rep I talked to after I ordered my replacement Pearl knew what he was talking about.
 
The Blackberry plan is $19.99 and it includes unlimited e-mail and internet. As a dealer I have seen a bb plan that's $19.99 it's unlimited e-mail and txt.. you can call t-mobile and try and get it or I can put it on the account for you.
 
Unfortunately due to the restrictions placed on Smart-Access customers, the info you were given is correct. You cannot add the BIS option to your SA MyFaves plan. Once you complete the first year, you can request to have your account reviewed and see if you are eligible to convert out of SA into a regular plan with no restrictions. The dealer that sold you the original plan should have told you that if you even mentioned you were interested in the Pearl to start with.

My wife and I both have pearls. I have the BES add on, she has the BIS. Is this available to standard myfaves plan? I'd rather have unlimited texts than pay 5 buck more each phone!
 
LOL That was for me. I was asking if the BIS Add On came with unlimited texts because I took off the Unlimited Messaging Bundle which was $14.99. Sorry for the confusion.
 
you can get e-mail and internet or e-mail and txt which ever one is best for you.. I am sorry I am not on bb messenger I forgot to pay my bill and they shut the phone off, give me a few days and I will have it back on.
