Smart Access & BIS

Everyone who has Smart Access and no credit history knows you can't get the 19.00 BB data addon unless you have the worst voice plan TMO offers. I have tried everything to get them to give me data but still no luck. I am told that I have to wait until I have a full year of service with them and then I will be eligable to get the data addon. That isn't until Febuary so I am going to ask you guys for suggestions... How the hell can I get data before my full year?! Any tricks? C'mon TMO reps, can you help me out with some advice?

[EDIT] If I were to log onto My T-Mobile and change my type of phone to one that works with the T-Mobile Web (the 5.99 Mobile Internet) and then used Opera Mini would that work or would I just be wasting six bucks?

call cust care and ask if you can switch to the new flexpay system. its different than smart access but gives you the bouns of every rate plan and feature.

no the t-zones feature unfortunatly wont work

Unfortunately there is no way to do so at the currunt time. There is also no way to cheat the system by using tzones or changing the APN. There was a time not long ago you could do so but them TMO got wise and closed the open ports in the network. The most you can do is add the Free BB enabler which will give mms capability and IM capability but not Email or Browser. As far as switching to flexpay no can do at this time they will not let you switch.

A buddy of mine was actually able to switch to a 1000 minute family SmartAccess plan and have BIS on it. Just had to add the other line for his roommate...

Thanks for the info, I guess I'll just have to wait five months. It is frustrating because I have tried everything and it makes no sence why their policy is how it is. They tell me that if I had previous credit history then it wouldn't be a problem, but then when I offer to put down a large deposit to insure them payment they still won't do anything. That just seems like bad business to me, I want to give them money for a service and they won't allow it... isn't money the reason for business?! Oh well, thanks alot for letting me know.
