Without rehashing the stuff too much, I'm sure many of you are aware of what the problem is: on some devices TMO resizes the incoming MMS pictures to thumbnails.
Right now I have the N97. I decided to do a two-pronged approach. Both complain to TMO, and find a workaround. Unfortunately, I wasn't successful at either.
I did call TMO. I wrote a letter too. But so far I have not reached any CSR that would actually know what I'm talking about. I'm thinking of writing all the way to the top, but I'm not terribly hopeful. But at the same time, I'm hoping that even if I personally am not successful, if there are enough of us who complain eventually something will get done.
I got the usual answer: "we don't guarantee compatibility with non-TMO phones". I'm going to argue that that's exactly what they're trying to do with the resizing. So either add the phone to The List, or better yet: stop doing it altogether. If they serve the MMS message as-is, and let the customer's equipment deal with it, whether it can or not, fine. I wouldn't have a problem with that, even if it didn't work. But they are actively doing it.
Enough of that.
So I tried the workarounds, but the problem that I kept running to was that none of the application signing websites worked. It seemed like they did all the way up to the end of the year, but now I can't get any signed. I forget which ones I tried, but I tried a few.
Has anybody tried to get their apps signed within a month or so? If so, what website worked?
The problem was that I'm thinking of getting the N8. Let's say if by some miracle someone wakes up at TMO due to my letters and adds the N97 to The List. I would still be out of luck..
