SLVR L7 or RAZR v3i

I think the hacks/mods are the same but they both have the same features. Personally I like the flip phone. So I would go with the V3i
 
Well, it depends. I personally like the simplicity of the L7 (no moving parts) and the look is newer and fresher looking than the RAZR. Also, if you get an L7 with iTunes I believe you can hack it to 1000 song limit in just a few minutes...as far as I know this cannot be done on the V3i yet. Also, if you are going to use the phone for music, the L7 seems like it would be much better for that type of thing (no need to flip it open to change tracks).
 
L7 will prob last longer since it has no moving parts. The V3i is prob slightly better since it has a better cam. If you like bars go for the L7 if u like flips go for the V3i. I personally would get the v3i since it has a better cam cuz cams matter to me.
 
Personally I'm using a ROKR E2. It runs on Linux/Java, has a USB 2.0 high speed port (the others have USB 1 which is really slow). The E2 comes with a 1.3MP camera, A2DP (stereo) Bluetooth (music and file transfer supported), MP3 player (not limited to 100 songs like iTunes), decent battery life, medium RF performance (not nearly as good as my old ROKR E1), and SD memory card slot (I have a 2GB card that holds tons of songs). You can find new, unlocked units for ~$250USD if you look.

If you are getting the L7 or V3i free with service, I'd go with the V3i. It has a nicer camera.

Or you could NOT switch to a crappy CDMA carrier with crappy ui and handicapped bluetooth and just get the soon-to-be-released Motorola L7i, which has the same cam as the V3i.

And Tango Uniform, I think your reception is not as good on your ROKR E2 because its triband and lacks GSM 850...you need to seem edit to enable GSM 850 (I believe a way to do that was just found). Just thought you should know in case you didn't.
 
v3i - better camera (although all Motos have sh*t cameras), MUCH bigger and nicer screen, bad speakerphone, semi-hackable

L7 - horrible camera, small screen, better speakerphone (although the ROKR seems to have the best i have heard when it comes to Motos), a little more hackable.

if your buying a phone purely because you wanna mod it then 1. your stupid and 2. the e398 is the best choice for that.
