lol My dorm neighbor did and I am gonna borrow the soundtrack from her so I can listen to the songs all the time :woot:

I just saw this today and posted about it in the "last movie you saw" thread, so I'm gonna C&P my post from there

Brilliant. I loved this film, it left me feeling so happy at the end! I've seen it described as "the feel-good film of the decade", and even though there are a lot of emotional, serious scenes that are more heart-wrenching than heart-warming, I can see where the comment is coming from, because the overall message is hopeful and the ending is just lovely! I loved the flashback technique, and how the stories from the past and the present perfectly interwove with each other, that was really well done. And the storyline itself was just awesome, all the pieces fell into place and everything seemed real and plausible, there wasn't a moment where you were confused or you thought it was too far-fetched to be believable. Definitely worth a watch!

I adored the music too, I bought the soundtrack straight after seeing the film.

Wonderful movie. Just finished watching it. Incredible performances, particularly Dev Patel, he's an amazing young talent.

English Translation of Lyrics: (Jai Ho)

I don't know how accurate this is. :look:
Source.

So I've already seen this movie twice, and I couldn't be more happy at all the Oscar wins it got! It completely deserved all of them.

Did anyone else go and buy Jai Ho off iTunes as soon as the movie was ovr and listen to it nonstop? That song is amazing!

I love this movie. :) Its so great. I mean it was really moving and I didn't know that much about India...so it was a learning experience for me.

Finally, saw this for myself last week and loved it! I'm definitely rooting for it at the Oscars.

Yeah it's amazing how the story was essentially about 3 people but you saw the progression of a whole country as well! And I thought they handled the heavy material very well- not weighing it down on the audience, but giving it a vibrancy that was realistic.

Some people say it was predictable but I went into the movie knowing the whole story but was still interested the whole time!

OMG! This movie is one of the best I've ever seen in a really really long time. It was so poignant and uplifting at the same time. It showed how bad the slums in India were while still keeping it within the context of the dramatic and romantic struggle. Plus it was a combination of many film genres that were beautifully intertwined with each other. :thud:
I thought all the actors were great and did a wonderful job! And even though the same-character actors never interacted, I felt a strong connection among them.
This movie deserves all the praise it's getting and much more!

Slumdog Millionaire really deserves all the awards of the year. The whole cast was amazing but the biggest job was done by Danny Boyle: He has made many great movies before, especially Transpoitting was incredibly perfect but Slumdog Millionaire is totally a masterpiece. I think those people who claimed that India in this film was not the real India are very wrong. It is almost the actual India in some respects.

By the way, the chemistry between Dev Patel and Freida Pinto on film was amazing!
