Ok so, I'm looking to buy a camera. I'm really into photography. I generally want to stay under 500. Although, there is a nikon that's $540. http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product/Digital-SLR-Cameras/25462/D3000.html
Originally, I was going to buy http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product/Compact-Digital-Cameras/26194/COOLPIX-L110.html.
Since i don't know much about photography, don't say well then just get a small digital camera please, I don't know what "SLR" means. From my understanding, it means the glass lens or one lens or whatever. My question is, is that the kind of camera I want for the type of photography I want to do? So is that just an effect? Or, how the photo was taken? Either way, it's just an example.
