Win XP 2MHz - about 740 Megs of RAM.
This PC suddenly has gotten slow. I mean 25 minute boot times, with the hard drive flashing away the whole time.
A few months ago I added RAM and was fine for a few months. Now I've added a new VID card (Pony 7600 GS AGP card). At first everything was fine.
I've blue screened twice in the last week. But most of the time it's workable once I'm up and running, being only slightly slower than normal during some of the simplest things. My internet speed is OK, but slower than normal too. Again, this started happening (bang) immediately!
I ran through all the normal things... Deleting cookies, and temp files, defrag.. Matter of fact, to come to think of it... THAT'S when most of the degradation started. Right after a "disk cleanup". You know the ones that pop-up when you run out of free space. Yes this happened to me, and it freed up 3.5 gigs for me, but very slow ever since.
Anybody have a clue what I can do? (short of Format and re-install ha ha
