Slow N73

So, whenever I send a text, it takes up to 2 minutes to unfreeze after hitting send. Is this is possibly because I've got a lot of texts in my inbox? I have no idea, but it's really annoying that it doesn't just send immediately.

Sorry if this is redundant...
 
Quite redundant, but that means there's an answer.

I used to have a link in my sig for a small applet you can download that fixes the freeze. Check Nokia Europe's site for the N73 and it should be there to download or you can update your firmware to fix it.
 
it also slows down if you save your messages to the memory card. saving to the phone makes it super fast. saving to the memory card makes it much slower, regardless of firmware or accelerators.

and yes, this is a much talked about topic.
