What can be done if I have slow gastric emptying and acid is getting into my lungs?

hi
are you on a PPi for reflux which will help with the acid getting into your lungs
and you may need something like domperidone to make your stomach work faster

have you not seen a specilist they shoud have given you meRAB for this

I have been going to a gastroenterologist for a year. I am on aciphex,erythromycin(40mg 4x a day) and prilocec three times a day. I don't eat after 3 o'clock because of the increased pain I feel in my lungs. I don't know how much longer I can live like this! I have had a lung function test and have scarring. I have been to a pulmonary specialist. He says I need to have fundoplocation but the gastrologist says I can't have the surgery because of my stomach issue. I am having blood work for my thyroid Monday. I have had it tested several times before and it was fine. I am worried my lungs are going to be severely damaged the longer this goes on.

I did some research and found that a migrane block I am taking (Zonisamide) is causing my problem w/my stomach. I am going to have to stop taking the migrane meRAB which prevent me from having 20+ migranes but that I will have to deal with. It is better than having my lungs damaged even more and suffering even more side effects I'm not even aware of. I've taken different migrane blocks for over 9 years. I don't even want to guess at the damage to my health they have done! Right now I want to get off all the medicine I can and try to regain as much of my health as possible. I hope this helps someone else.
