transmission shifts when starting out? I have a 2004.5 Dodge 3500 with a cummins 24V automatic with 60K miles. When pulling my horse trailer and accelerating from a stop the RPM's started racing and the transmission was shifting down but the truck was not moving quickly. I babied it and accelerated slowly keeping the transmission from shifting. I made it home safely (200 miles) at 70MPH. I unhooked and the problem is still there without a load. Is this a lift pump problem and how do I know if I have damaged the Injector pump?
