Sleuth?

Pretty weird this should come up here as I've just bought this on VHS from ebay for peanuts........it's excellent, excellent stuff.

For those who don't know, it stars Laurence Olivier as a detective writer living in a country mansion who invites Michael Caine round to sort a few things out....it's v twisty and turny. I won't give its big secret away here.....
 
Yes, I remember seeing this on TV some time ago and was riveted!! It's not often a movie with so few charaters can hold your attention so well. I really want to see it again now!!!

I remember someone told me it was formerly a stage play, but I don't know personally.
