I come from a sort of wealthy and preppy town, but in the summer I go to a really artsy and diverse sleepaway camp. I've been going there for 4 years now, and I've always had a great time. However, a few people there seem to treat me like im some snobby princess who thinks there better than everyone, without really knowing me. Some of these people are my counselours, who yell at me and pass judgements for no reason. I don't think I act snobby and I'm a pretty open minded person. (I'm 14) I really don't want to stop going to this camp, because I've had so much fun there, but its hard to be there when people have already judged me and decided they don't like me, despite my efforts to be friendly to them. It really hurts my feelings and makes me feel self-concious and embarrassed when they yell at me. How can I help my counselours and SOME campers to get a better impression of me?
