This famous exchange took place during an English county championship match between Glenmorgan & Somerset in 1986. ____________ had uncharacteristically swung twice & missed. Glamorgan paceman Greg Thomas found the confidence to rub it in, reminding the batting hero exactly what he was trying to hit:
"It's round, red & weighs about 5oz"
_________ hit the next ball clean for a six. He pointed the bat in the direction of the ball & said with a smile on his face"
