sl55 problem???????

Hi guys
got sl55 today that says insert sim card even when theres 1 inplace?
now the funny thing is, i have 1 orange sim card that actually works every time in put the sim in? it work 100% of the time. but i have tried brand new orange sim in with the insert sim fault?
also tried 02 old and new
tried all four networks, all say insert sim.

like i said, there is 1 orange sim that actually work, but no other?

all help appreciated

unlock then flash?
have freia, but not the sst+magic flash file (dont even no wot sst + magic flsh file is?)

hardly ever played with siemens?

tried using freia, just get boot file is not accepted?
i dont have any other siemens software.
