Is it possible to reset the PIN Codes, both 1 and 2?

I have never set the PIN code ever since I bought my SL45, but still at some locations it asks for PIN 1 and 2.

What are the default PIN Codes ?

Whatever they are, Ive already tried testing twice and now Ive got only one more attempt left, so I dont wanna experiment anymore. I just want to reset the PIN codes.

I wasted to two attempts a long time ago. Afterwards I upgraded the software to v56 and turned on JAVA functionality. I thought it would also reset the PIN codes, remove them, and reset their count, but it didnt.

Please help me remove my PIN codes.

PIN codes are stored on your SIM card. Your phone has nothing to do with this. Your provider should sent you a contract where all the numbers are stored there:

In order:
PIN 1 - Is the main PIN code (when you switch on your phone and it asks for a pin - (except you use Vodafone) you can disable it)
PIN 2 - for additional phone settings (cost settings for example)
PUK - for resetting PIN1 and PIN2 if you made 3 false inputs

No chance but "might" work with a silver card - means you copy your SIM card. But don't ask me how to do this

Doesn't matter if you got the data from your provider. Mine wasn't able to send me PIN2 so I made three times false PIN2 input - reseted it with my PUK and setted new PIN2

Ok thanks for the valuable information.

I checked the documents of my connection. It only mentions PIN2 and PUK2 (is PUK2 different from what you mentioned - PUK ?). What about PIN1 ?

If I deliberately enter wrong PIN2, then after entering PUK2 will it reset the PIN1 and PIN2? Will it affect my settings, address book, etc on the phone and SIM ?

Ah well...
As far as I know PUK2 can only reset PIN2. In my contract there's PIN1, PIN2 and PUK. I looked to annother contract of a friend of mine and he's got PIN1, PIN2, PUK1 and PUK2.

Make a test: Got to Optionsmenu -> Setup -> Security -> Enable PIN Use (if it isn't checked) ask your phone for a PIN code?

Don't worry about this, if you can't enter the PIN (that's PIN1) just press red button. You'll need to enter the PIN to enable this feature. Maybe your provider doesn't deliver phones with PIN1 - means if you switch on your phone you are never asked about a PIN code? If all lacks, contact your provider and ask for missing data.

Ok now I understand all this. I've been able to successfully reset my PIN1, I'll reset the PIN2 when I get home (Im in office right now).

Thanks for all the great information!! Much appreciated!
