Siemens data exchange software won't allow me to format the MMC. It shows the folders but none of the files inside.... I know that there are files inside as I have opened them using a card reader.

I have attempted an upgrade from SL45 to SL45i v52. I have unlocked Java using Java Activator V0.1b by Warlord.

I'm having problems finding software and flash file for updating the firmware to (presumably) V56. Any help here will be gratefully received!

Is the firmware the problem, or does this phone have a hardware fault???

Someone please help before I put a hammer to this worn-out piece of junk.

I need a full flash file for SL45i v56 that I can use with Freia 15....
(I think - he says, fumbling about in desparation).

Can someone send me a URL please????

Here are some swupfiles. These are executables which update your SL45i to the specified version. v56 is recommended for all patches. Your EEPROM is not affected.

Thank you RC.... I've updated the firmware, but I can't activate Java. Java enabler tells me that there is no space in data area. I still can't access progs within the files on the mmc card and I cannot format the mmc card using Siemens data exchange software.
I think that the phone may have a hardware fault.... but then I don't know much about this stuff so I'm just guessing.

Cheers,
Norman.

UPDATE.....
I reinstalled the old eeprom flash file then ran the Java enabler.....
....IT WORKED!!!!

BUT...... I still can't access any of the data on the MMC card and there is definitely data on it.

ANY SUGGESTION PLEASE.......??????

Norm.

FINAL UPDATE......
I was unable to reformat the MMC card using Siemens data exchange software, or the phone's format option.
SO...... I put the MMC into a camcorder and managed to take some still photos onto it.
For some reason after that I was able to format it, and it is now working fine with the phone.
Don't know why, but it did the trick.
