Skype wont work hot keyed?

So I have a Logitech G110 keyboard and im trying to set up my hotkeys and when i have my drivers open for the keyboard and i try to assign a hotkey for skype to open and i select the shortcut file for skype and then assign it and then try to use it i get this message:The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018). Click OK to close the application. and it is titled: SkypeIcon.exe-Application Error
