skype not signing in on nokia n900!!?

i have been trying to sign into skype on my nokia n900 for over a month but anytime i try it doesn't work, it simply stops trying to log in. I tried to create a new account but when i do it says "Problem with service, try again" i try later but it doesn't work. I restarted the phone still nothing, i am hoping there is a solution to this problem and if you know i'll really appreciate it. Thnx
