cant you just configure the n80IE's own voip software to use skype? that would be really good

n8-ie's software voip integration is SIP and Skype is not SIP so you unfortunately cannot.

SIP means you can configure gizmo, right?

Not only will Gizmo work, but they've created a nice little app that does all of the work for you. You can get it from the Download! app on your compatible phone or I've uploaded it here to save you the trouble:
