SKY Films is showing the McPherson Tape (proof of UFOs)

What they did, along with others, was take advantage. Allowed is not the right word. When Kenneth Arnold made his famous sighting, and the military saw how the public reacted, it was an easy step to combine that with the kind of stuff that Orson Welles did. Result: millions and millions of fat arsed, fat-brained folk, who have turned the always rather dodgy alien hypothesis into a virtual religion. This, of course, serves the military extremely well. While true believes are looking for little grey aliens, the military can get on with developing man-made UFOs. ;)

With respect, I would ask that you examine the evidence in the book I linked to - Projekt UFO: The Case For Man Made Flying Saucers, and you will then see just how far advanced mankind has become. Albeit, a very select, highly classified sector of mankind.

FWIW, I've been interested in this subject for decades, and have researched a great deal. At several points, I was also more than halfway convinced that the technology being seen could not be of earthly origin. Today, I believe that all UFO's fall into three categories; 1) Mistaken sightings of earthly craft or natural phenomenon, 2) Deliberate fakes by either the military or civilian enthusiasts, 3) Sightings of as yet unexplained natural phenomena.

I do not not deny the probability that the universe is teeming with life. But in all these years I have not come across anything that can conclusively prove it is coming the Earth. All I have seen, are people who with the best will in the world - or from a purely commercial standpoint - want to interpret the available evidence to support the alien hypothesis. :(

You sound like you are open minded about the whole thing. Myself I am a man of science. I don't doubt anything that cannot be proved. The universe is so big and chaotic that it is possible that life does exist which is just as equally as plausible that life does not exist. I have seen some footage from Brazil that makes my jaw drop and makes me think. It doesn't look fake but it could be.

I have always taken this view when talking about life on other planets.

There are approx 100 billion stars in our galaxy many if not all of them with a planetary system.

1) Is there life of any description on other planets? Yes the odRAB must be stacked in favour of at least there being bacteriological life elsewhere in the galaxy.

2) Is there complex life (Plants & Animals) on other planets? Highly likely after all there have been complex life forms on this planet for maybe as much as 1 billion years ago.

3) Are there intelligent life forms on other planets? It

You really do not know how unintentionally amusing this response is with regarRAB to Rendlesham. I doubt I could look any further into this case - having talked with witnesses all over the world. If you have seen the Strange But True? programme on the case then you will know what I mean.

As for the radiation off the scale. Sadly it was no such thing. The facts about this aspect of the case (like many other aspects) are very different from how you seem to think of them. Not your fault as many people misinterpret large chunks of this very complicated incident as well as they have only seen part of the data. I started work on the case three years before it was mentioned in the media so am lucky to have had quite a head start on all bar a handful of others.

I was analysing the radiation data on this case 24 years ago when the Halt tape first surfaced (I was at the first public airing) and it quite clearly is not as amazing as legend alleges. It is mildly above the normal level - but the location is near a nuclear power station.

I am certainly not ridiculing or discrediting any witnesses. I have actually lectured MPs and members of the LorRAB about the UFO evidence. And I have met and interviewed pilots, politicians, military personnel etc all over the world. The vast majority are totally sincere and many have seen something interesting. But to accept that these were alien craft does require more than supposition.

I am neither a scientist nor a skeptic, per se. But you simply cannot judge UFOs on the basis of eyewitness testimony alone. I argue that from the strongest possible first hand experience.

Evaluating UFO data is a thing only learned by lots of expeience and the application of objective analysis. It still leaves you with lots of mysteries - which is why I am still involved in the field after 30 years.

But it is simply not as easy as a witness sees something odd - they interpret this as a spaceship - ergo it WAS a spaceship.

Extraordinary possibilities can be the correct ones, but they inevitably require extraordimary levels of evidence to support them. That is certainly true of UFOs.

I think this is the key to the whole thing. Why bother?

Let's say Jonny McAlien is in charge of the space fleet on the planet Zorg. His space fleet can travel anywhere in the universe. It's sophisticated enough to find even the smallest of planets and detect environmental data and signs of life from millions of light-years away.

One day, his brother, Alan McAlien, is doing some scans and by chance he stumbles upon a small blue planet that we've come to know as earth. "Oh my GoRAB," he says. "There's life there!".

Jonny McAlien rolls his eyes. "Oh... Brilliant," he mutters sarcastically. "Let's make contact with them and get blown to f*cking smithereens because they're scared of us..."

"Meh... They're not that sophisticated," says military commander Blorg, as he sits smoking a fag in the corner. "Our generic sci-fi fighter pilots can have them in a fight any day."

Alan McAlien rubs his hanRAB together with an air of glee. "Yeah, we'll blast them to smithereens and then inhabit their planet... That'll teach 'em!"

“Why not just inhabit one of the other million-billion-trillion inhabitable planets in the universe?” asks Jonny, filled with doubt. “It’s not like we don’t have the technology to find them… We managed to find Earth after all.”

“Good point,” Blorg responRAB. “Well, okay... We’ll sneak in there and study them instead… You know; a few probes here and there and whatnot. Done in secluded locations like jungles and farms at night.”

“Seems like a bit of a hassle considering we’re already a super-advanced race anyway, and there’s very little we could possibly learn from these Earthling dweebs,” Jonny says. “Let’s just anal probe some bacteria who don’t fight back instead.”

“Ok then.”

fair enough, not being arsey here but out of interest

would it be fair to to take it you think Roswell was Project Mogul then

and that the Pheonix Lights was black ops stealth technology

that RAF woodbridge was a lighthouse/another explanation

that Gulf Breeze is all misidentifcation of earth lights

that mexico fleets are all natural phenonoma including those that fly in and out of helicopter formations

It would be woefully naive or perhaps ignorant to think that we are solely the only race in the entire universe.

Thanks for the links, watching them now. :)

If they were millions of light years away they could not detect us they would see the earth from millions of years ago.

That is the problem.

Pffft... Yeah mate, you obviously haven't heard of Jonny McAlien and his ultra "Millions-Times-Faster-Than-The-Speed-of-Light SuperScope™ Technology with Intel P12 Processing Power" telescope; otherwise there's no way in hell you'd make such an uneducated post

:p

UPDATE:

rachel_939 from United Kingdom

I have often wondered if there is more to this story than meets the eye. It appears as fake, and maybe so it is. However, there are elements of truth wrapped up in a supposed work of fiction.

I believe it to be based on fact. Every time I see it; I see something that I didn't catch before. Don't get me wrong; Hollywood and other studios do great magic with the paranormal; but I also know that truth can be painted as fiction to reduce hysteria.

Having been an experiencer from the age of four and had my own encounters with the greys in the 80's; I felt the hair on my neck stand up on end watching this film. There was a sense of familiarity that I don't find in other works of fiction relating to the greys.

The memories of that night of when they came for me flashed back in this film. I have watched films like 'Signs', and others of the genre, but none really touches base like this one.

I was as amused by your respone as you was by mine
I will agree to disagree, this could go on forever but what's fundamental here is your thinking differs from mine in several areas and that's fine, dissent is a good thing, the truth will be with us one day

I was going to ask if the poster she/he was in fact Nick Pope, so its good to see someone (like You) with sense pointing out Nick pope-isms too..

Man that was shite I was half expecting that the aliens would dance to thriller when they walked in, The costumes were worse than the 1979 series of Doctor Who , and UFOlogists were defending this... I could pull off a more convincing alien abduction video
