Has anyone seen this being advertised?
I read in the Daily Telegraph that the filmed is pure special effects , and that the only human intervention is a few of the actors who were actually doing there parts with a blue screen behind them , also featured in the film is Laurence Olivier from old film footage as well.
The film is set in New York even though the actual film and it's crew , actors , camera men or special effects people never set foot in New York at all. A lot of the film is based on old photos of New York in the late 1930's when the film is set and those photos are used to create the city of New York in the 1930's , also the films picture has been tweaked to give it an old fashioned feel.
I saw the trailer myself , it didn't convince me to see the film totally but the style of the film and the robots used in it give a comic book feel of the 1930's for sure. Hollywood are intrested in how well it does to , if the film was to suceed it might follow in its steps because the film cost only
