I have adobe photoshop cs4 as well as corel paint shop pro photo x2 .. I often edit photos in the corel paint shop because I like the skin smoothing feature, and to smooth skin in adobe photoshop takes alot of time. I have never had a problem with the skin smoothing feature before, but I was attempting to edit a photo and it was only smoothing some areas of her skin. I was wondering if this was because this photo was taken in a studio at school in the dark, with studio lighting, and there is shading on one side of her face, and the light shining on the other ... and when I edit all of my other pictures which are typically of my daughter, they are all natural light photos. Is the problem that it can only pick up certain shades to consider them "skin" and smooth them, if you get what I am saying.
