Skin Damage?

For about 5 years now ive had light patchs around my eyes and a bit on my right cheek.

This was after using moisturizer as the light patch were appearing where i applied the cream.

I saw the doctor who referred me to dermatologist but he was useless , he told me he can see my problem but its just a rash and it will go in a year or less.

Well 4 years later its still there .....Its stressing me out so much that i cant help but notice it all the time...i still get dates and stuff but its made my self confidence go.

Now the doctor does not seem concerend as its only looks and not a major health concern , but to me its important.

The dermatologist swore blind its not Vitiligo but he said it was Parabens that i was allergic to.

Do you think it could be true , he told me that my skin would be cured by now on its own .....its not , its still the same as it was then ....i try to avoid looking in the mirror as i just focus on it and when i do look at it im just looking to see if its gone but nothing ever changes.

Is there a cream or anything i can try , i dont mind the cost i just want it gone.

I also notice it i get a burning feel on it when im in the sun .

Ive never been given anything for it as was told it would clear up on its own?

Did he do a patch test to prove it's a paraben allergy? Parabens are in so many products, they're hard to avoid. I'd want proof before I went to all that trouble. How come you didn't go back after a year?

Did he rule out tinea versicolor? (a yeast infection of the skin that can cause white patches - not usually seen on the face)

If it is vitiligo you're looking at makeup not medication. Currant treatments for vitiligo aren't that great. Mostly steroid creams that don't work half the time.:(

Thank you for the reply ...he didnt do any patch test ,infact he kept trying to sell me stuff not for the problem but stuff i didnt even need ,which made me a little mad as i wasnt there for that.... the people what made the cream paid for the test to see if it was the cream what damaged me.

the company just now ignore me and said they want pay for further tests...so i left it at that.

Funny thing is i used tons of products before with Parbens in and never had any kind of reaction , yet i did with this expensive branded one.

I was asked to send the product back for testing but they found nothing wrong with it ,and said its my fault im allergic.

I never knew i was.

I left it for so long as i block it out of my mind so much i dont even try to focus on it , first time i fully took notice was last week when i was out in the sun and it was really burning.

I know i shouldnt bury my head in the sand and ignore it and i have now changed doctors which im seeing next week to see if he can shed any light on the matter.

what makes me mad my skin is great , everyone use to say that i didnt even need creams etc ....so i wished i never even used any.

I still have very good skin apart from this damm white patches
