I am hiring a contractor to remove wood paneling from my den. He gave me two options, skim coat the existing sheet rock or pull it down and replace it with new sheetrock. 2400 to skim coat, 3200 for new rock. Which method should I choose? How are his prices? I live Nassau County Long Island in NY, if that is meaningful.
