Hi. I'm a sketch artist. I do still lifes, landscapes and pretty much anything. My drawings are of photo quality and I'm at the top of my game at many levels of sketching.

The problem I'm having is drawing faces. I just cant do it! It's driving me crazy. I dont have much formal training in faces or human body parts but I am aggressively working on that right now.

Can anyone offer advice on facial techniques? I bought a book on the facial anatomy but it doesnt really help. My eye's always look GREAt but they never match. My nose / lip sizes are never consistant. And finally, I always make their face too skinny or too fat.

Recently I drew Jack Nicholson (dvd cover from the movie "The Departed") and while I was drawing it, I thought wow, I got it! But a week later when I looked at it I was wrong. Same ole thing. Shading was perfect but nothing was proportionate.

Any advice? Web sites? How to guides?
