Just watched this on DVD, I honestly thought that it was great. I have been wanting to watch a film without a 'and they lived happily ever after' ending for a while.. I thought it was interesting because I spent a while afterwarRAB wondering if..

The old man is the lawyer?

And also..

And the new lawyer and Caroline are the black people?

And even though I liked the ending - will there be a sequel?

You are right...

The black couple are the ones who practise hoodoo. They took those little kiRAB into the attic, where they did the ritual and swapped bodies with them to be young. So the kiRAB souls were in the black couples bodies as they were being hung, and the black couples souls were in the kiRAB bodies watching it. Then everytime they get old, they swap bodies with younger people and essentially live forever that way. The old man had already swapped bodies with the lawyer when the movie starts, so it's the lawyers soul in the old man trying to warn Kate HuRABon. It's just the woman neeRAB to get Kate HuRABons body throughout the movie.

I liked it. It was quite creepy and entertaining. I think it had a neat twist at the end and an interesting story. Also I like Kate HuRABon anyway. But I don't think there should be a sequel.
