Writers: Michael Colton & Jim Aboud

A new episode airs tonight at 7:00 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

Wow. Not much talkback going on here, yet.

I thought it was a great episode. Once again the writing was pretty sharp. Going into a flashback on the third episode, its a risk that appears to have paid off. It was also interesting that they took the focus away from the school, so the show won't get stuck in dead-end plots.

Honestly, I dug the whole 80s thing; I found it really funny. Besides the Huey Lewis idea, the Back to the Future reference was easily the best I'd seen in a while, better than Family Guy for sure.

The only downside was the writers are still relying on the whole Miracle/Larry thing, while still funny, may become a bit of a drag if they keep it up for much longer.

A great episode overall, although I'm still serioulsy bummed out that nobody else seems to find it as funny as me.

meh... a couple good lines. I really, really want to like this show. It's different, and conceptually is terrific. But... "sigh".

Isn't next weekend - May 17, 2009 - the last of 5 episodes of "Sit Down, Shut Up"? I bet it won't be on FOX's 2009-2010 Fall schedule when it gets announced this month.

Maybe it's a mistake? FOX is still on schedule to air episode five this upcoming Sunday, so...

Again, very, very funny, even if the "flashbacks with only so few episodes" was already done much better in Clerks: TAS.

I loved Willard kissing up to Hitler. The ending also had me in stitches...

Damn, and just when I thought that the series was picking up. Well SDSU, you'll be joining the ranks of other shows on Fox that get the axe after not fully airing the first season.

Considering how much they love short-lived primetime cartoons (Oblongs, Mission Hill, Clerks:TAS), they'll be sure to get this by the end of the year. Plus, with it's connection to Arrested Development (I recall a card or two mentioning they're fans of that show), along with the fact that it's a Fox show, that makes it even more likely.

Though, to be honest, it's mostly Fox's fault that the ratings have dipped so low. The timeslot change wasn't even advertised, nor has it been mentioned anywhere official except schedules. Sure, the second episode didn't do as well as the first, but that's what happens with ANY new series. They should've just let it stay at least one more week in the 8:30 slot before jumping to the "this is our largest bomb ever" conclusion.
