Right now I have a Sirius Satellite Radio, Starmate 4 in my car. My question is if I buy the whole setup kit again and install it in my girlfriends car can I put my radio in there and it work too? That way no matter who's car we take when we go out, we can always listen to Sirius, without having to buy another unit. Just wondering if this was possible or if Sirius had a way of blocking this to make more money? I know when you activate it you just give the Serial number on the back of the actual unit. Anybody done this before? Just don't want to buy another kit and it not work in her car. Thanks.

The subscription goes with the tuner. It doesn't matter where it's located. You can buy a home kit, portable dock, car kit, whatever; the subscription will be good wherever you take it. That's the whole point behind the tuner/dock system; it's designed so that you can use a single tuner in more than one vehicle if you want.

Yes! These kits were designed to be mobile from their original location. Not only can you switch these units from car to car, you can buy a home kit and move it to your home stereo also. So, all you will need to buy/install is another car kit in the second car. Then, you will detach the unit from your car and connect it to the second car.
Hope this helps.
