Sir, would you kindly tell me why you object to the use of gender specified

words in the EU, sir? From the part of the world that gave us National Socialism, another brilliant socialisticly infused government edict has emerged from the Superior EU. It seems that, sir, it is politically incorrect to refer to a female as m'am, madam, nor any other gender specific term. For example, the word Chairman has been whittled down (no pun intended) to chair, not specifying chairman or chairwoman. For some reason, the British, French, Germans, etc, like to deride people that they do not share an opinion with using the word "sir" and often use it repeatedly,ad nauseum.
Hence, an example.
"The two sources you posted are hardly objective, sir."
And if I were to reply to such by arguing back
"The two sources I posted are objective, madam," I would be charged with being politically incorrect and, no doubt, accused of being a racist.
I am not sure how that works. A woman calls me "sir," I call the woman "madam" and she calls me a racist. Is that because calling me a sexist sounds too 1970s?
"I don't know what personal objections you have to this, sir, and frankly, I don't care. "
My, my, don't we have our knickers in a bunch over this, madam.
No offense.
