Sinus Infection????

Hi all

Usually when I have a really bad cold a sinus infection follows. I went to the doctor for a bad sore throat that came with the cold. The doctor, knowing my track record with sinus infections, gave me an antibiotic just in case. I still have the prescription sitting in my car.

I still have the stuffy nose. I do have pain around my eyes. My upper teeth ache. It is especially bad when I run, jump, or stomp my feet.

Could I be having a sinus infection? I usually do have the ache in my teeth, but not the facial pressure that goes with it.

Thanks all
KD

I have had chronic sinus infections for a long time. It really sounds like you could possibly have one. You said that you do have some pain in and around your front teeth and around your eyes? But no facial pain at all? None around the orbits of your eyes and no pain in your forehead? Usually a huge tell tale sign of a sinus infection is facial pressure and pain because all your sinuses are filled with fluid.. are becoming filled. Have you checked you temperature? What about chest congestion?
I would only take the antibiotics if you have more symptoms of the sinus infections than cold. I would take your temp and if you have a temp start taking the antibiotics or if you dont have a temp and you symptoms start getting worse then you could also start taking them
