Since when did sex become the norm?

I am in college and yeah am now at a decent age where I think its a very normal thing to experience. What I cannot understand though is what has happened to our teenagers?? What has happened to being young, having fun with friends and not putting on a ton of responsiblities on ourselves or worry about serious commitments?? It just seems the older I get the younger teens are trying to experience sexual relationships. Is it just me or does anyone else think something has gone horribly wrong??? When I was a teen the last thing I wanted to do was get involved with anyone. I just wanted to make tons of friends. I also learnt just by LISTENING that sex can lead to pregnancy and all sorts of nasty STD's. I see it more and more these days just how many teens fall for the same thing over and over. Don't kids listen? Dont kids have any self respect for themselves anymore?? Why cant teens just be teens??? Why are teens trying to grow up SO FAST? As a young adult I can honestly say (besides certain freedoms) its been nothing but CONFUSING and difficult! Its so much harder than being a teenager and their is sooo much you have to be responsible for. So much you have to consider.

What do some people think...I am curious if its just me or if other people have noticed this too...
 
Well the first problem is parents, they aren't like they used to be when we were kids, (im guessing we are about the same age i'm 20). They don't talk to their kids or really care what they are doing. Plus other kids put pressure on them like you aren't cool if you don't do this everyone is doing it, so instead of drugs now it's sex, though most of them do drugs as well. I dunno the world is becoming a bad place very quickly and so many young people are getting pregnant at the ridiculous age of 16 and even 15.
