Since the U.S. set a precedent of trying terrorist suspects in Federal Court,...

...particularly in NYC...? ...what is the problem with trying the latest batch in the same way?

Precedent:
U.S.A. vs Ramzi Yousef
U.S.A. vs Mohammed A. Salameh
U.S.A. vs Mahmud Abouhalima
U.S.A. vs Nidal Ayyad
U.S.A. vs Ahmed Ajaj
OGRE!!!: That is exactly the point. The cases mentioned are the ones that came from the 1993 WTC bombing attempt. None of the men mentioned were or are U.S. citizens. All were illegal combatants. All are serving life sentences, including one in the Colorado SuperMax. I don't agree with the sentencing (Death Penalty should have been invoked, but that is not up to me).
Since it is a federal court, it wouldn't really matter where in the country they were tried. McVeigh was tried in Denver, CO.
