Since the 10 commandments spacifically phrohibit graven images and idol worship.....?

Saying an image represents something and saying that an image is something and should be treated as two separate things. For example, do you have any pictures of friends or family members at your house? Do say that the picture itself is your friend? When you see the picture, do you smile remembering good times? Do you talk to the picture as if it were your friend or family member?
The only reasoning I have ever heard about this, is that since God made Jesus as an image of Himself, that make it ok for us too, to make images.
Neither Jews or Muslims allow images.
And the pagan conversion adapted beliefs, instead of trying to abolish them. So we have Patron Saint of... instead of God of...

If you are going to bash Catholics, then bash them for what they do wrong, and not what you think they do wrong.
Christians are not a party to the old covenant ten commandments. Only Israel was commanded not to have or worship graven images. These graven images were of animals and things created, and not images of the creator, for instance. If you want to point out their errors, focus on their theology of works versus faith.

To look at a picture, pretend it is Mary, (which of course it could not be, for no pictures were made of her and kept for us), and say this puts your mind to Jesus IS WORSHIP. It is also idolatry. (also there are no pictures of Jesus. This also is idolatry.)
But how is this one bit different from the IDOLS you ALL set up at Xmas time? Do you not also set your little 'idols' of 'mary', joseph, and 'jesus' out in your yard and around your idol green tree, with your idol cows, sheep, etc.?
Jer. 10. Isn't this green tree decoration ALSO forbidden and called the way of the heathen?
Best you all check up and see where you are. All the protestant churches are just little catholics, following her every example in one way or another.
Flee the harlot, and save your souls. Come out of HER my people, that you receive not of her plagues. (her and her daughters).
