Sin City 2

I was really looking forward to seeing Sin City 2 this year but it doesnt look like it will be released untill 2007 according to Superherohype as stated below:

"In a Variety article talking about The Weinstein Company's Dimension Films, the Hollywood trade mentions that Sin City 2 will hit theaters next year and not this summer, as was previously believed:

In addition to a "Sin City" sequel for next year, Rodriguez is working on "Grind House," for which he and Quentin Tarantino will each helm a 75-minute horror tale. Pic is now nearing production in Rodriguez's hometown of Austin, Texas."

It is a pity but I am sure it will be worth the wait!

I'd rather them take their time and release a decent film than do a rush job and release a sequel just for the sake of it.

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

It's rumoured Angelina Jolie will play Dame in the second film, anyone know if this has turned out official yet, would love it to be true.

If they follow the rules of the 1st film then the sequel has already been wrote, it's just a case of transposing the comic to film. The comic storey's and 1st film were more or less identical so I don't see why it would take so long....... apart from busy schedules.

When Frank Miller was talking about Sin City 2 to Empire magazine in December he said this:

"I'm finishing the script right now for Sin City 2

Rosario Dawson has been talking about Sin City 2. She said "The film's been kind of postponed because Robert has been interested in Angelina Jolie for the lead," Dawson said in an interview. "But she's very pregnant right now. So that's putting an understandable hold on the film."
She also says about her character Gail "I don't think Gail changes all that much from the first film to this one. Gail is always Gail. The only preparation I've had to do was just to stay healthy. I think the main question in regarRAB to Gail is whether or not I'll cut my hair this time" says Dawson.

For the people who know, Sin City 2 will feature the story "A DAme To Kill For" which takes place before Sin City 1 (also after, but thats only Bruce Willis Story), So that means the following will make a return, Dwight (main character), Girls of old town, Marv, Manute, Shelly and Bob.
