So I bought the Sims 3 collectors edition and installed it to my mac laptop. I'm pretty sure I have all the requirements.. I have Mac OS X Version 10.5.7
Processor: 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 1GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

So the Sims installed on my computer but when I actually went to play the game, the sky was yellow, some of the buildings were all white, and when I went to make a character, the entire character was black and all you could see were the eyes and hair. I don't know what's wrong with it but I really want to fix it so I didn't waste all that money for nothing.

It means your video card is working overtime (and doing a bad job at that) to provide the graphics of the game. In short, your video card isn't good enough to play the game.

You'll have to buy a new one or buy a new computer if it's an embedded chip.

You can still play the game, but it'll be annoying and isn't healthy for your video card.
