sims 3 cars, help please!?

theres a car in the exchange that i downloaded but i cant add it to the game because i don't have the original and i cant find cars in the online store. can someone please tell me where to buy cars in the store?

For me I just downloaded the cars from exchange to my original Sims pack and it worked.

just get a lot of money then buy one from a car shop
