I have three brand new Sims 3 games. The base game, World Adventures, and Ambitions.
The EA Download manager gives me the same error every single time I try to update my game via that program, in the Sims 3 Launcher; "There was an error during startup. Please see the log for more details."
So I uninstalled the EADM manually, and patched the game myself, via links on both the Sims 3 support site, and off of Mod The Sims.
But every time I get to game version 1.8.25.003001, I get the EADM 'log' error, which doesn't make sense because I don't have it installed. Following this, my Launcher freezes, and I can't start the game out of the Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Bin folder.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I've already messed with msconfig and regedit to prevent antivirus/previous installs of the game from interfering.
