Simpsons vs. South Park - Best 24 Parody

This season both The Simpsons and South Park have done whole episodes parodying the FOX thriller drama, 24. So, fellow Toon Zoners, which show did the better job?

Maybe South Park didn't have Mary Lou Rajskub or Kiefer Sutherland in but I'd have to say it's the better 24 parody since it was a lot funnier then the Simpsons ep. Yeah "24 Minutes" was decent but "The Snuke" had Cartman trying to get credit for getting rid of the Arabs, "Not anymore you're not" scene, The British as the real villians and a joke on the 24 clock flashing like a broken VCR. Can't beat that. Or at least Simpsons couldn't beat it anyway.

South Park easily. You see, Trey & Matt are actually fans of the show. As a matter of fact they got one of the suitcase nuke props from 24 as a thank you present from the 24 staff.

The Simpsons one was just mediocre & inferior(better then the ****piece known as "You Kent Always Say What You Want"). Jack's and Chloe's were one of the show's biggest waste of a cameo. Homer's dumpster sideplot was unnecessary. And the clock thing at the end of each act was dragged out.

Disclaimer: Not a fan of 24

South Park's 24 episode was substantially funnier. Much more coherent plot and the parody elements weren't nearly so blatant that someone who doesn't like the main show felt left out.

Personally I prefered the Simpsons episode. The South Park one felt more slow paced and, while the scenes with the British Navy and "Not anymore you're not!" were gold, there were also some unfunny jokes that went on too long, like Cartman using farting as interrogation, or Cartman badgering people in power over the phone.

"The Snuke", easily. "24 Minutes" may not have actually been going for an all-out parody. I have to assume that, at least. It was more of an homage. The South Park episode did more things that actually parodied the show -- putting a funny twist on its conventions. Examples of that are the split screen that turned out to be showing two parts of the same exact shot/location, the "not anymore you're not" scene, and the power going out and resetting the time to 12:00. The scene in the Simpsons episode that most resembled that was the "collapse your splitscreen" thing, which... actually didn't make much sense, joke-wise.

Dude, think before you post. Have you even seen the South Park episode we're talking about?

Snuke, by virtue that Trey and Matt know parody and homage to a series more than a better animated, guest-star wielding, shell of its former self that airs on Fox at 8:00 PM Eastern.

Snuke was so, so much better. I don't understand people who liked the Simpsons one more--maybe because that kind of parody episode isn't done by The Simpsons that often and they liked the variety?

I mean....what was with that dumpster anyway? A random old car wash joke? These are the gags, people....
