Simpsons episodes question

Im trying to identify which season of The Simpsons I remember watching.

It was in 2001 , everyday at 6:00 eastern time, what episodes would I be watching.

Uhh, yeah, I'm guessing you're talking about syndication. Which would be impossible to find out, since it was 10 years ago and we don't know where you live.

But, in 2001, Season 12 was premiering, so I'm guessing the first 11 seasons. I only generally know how syndication works. We don't have it here :p

If you're after DVD boxsets, go for seasons 3-9, they're generally considered the best. ;)

I remember an episode about Marge's hair falling out. There was an episode about Bart being in a band, and Lisa discovering it was all a plan to get people to join the navy. There was an episode about Bart going on a school trip, and The bus driver drives into the lake, stranding them.

Hope this helps

That's what I've heard, I don't think I've ever seen those episodes which is why I'm trying to figure out if the episodes I remember were part of those seasons, or post.

The "Marge's hair falling out" plotline is "Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala (Annoyed Grunt) cious" from season 8.

Bart in the boy band was "New Kids on the Blecch" from season 12.

The bus going into the lake and the kids surviving on the island is "Das Bus" from season 9.

So this is something that I've always wondered about. Are the episodes that air weekdays on Fox here in the Chicagoland area the same episodes that are airing weekdays in like New York and Los Angeles? Or does each individual market get to air whatever episodes they want to?

I'm pretty sure each market gets to air whichever episodes they feel like airing. My local affiliate bounces around the seasons. We'll go from last season's episodes to seasons 10-14 to seasons 5- 9 and so on. Currently they're airing the early episodes from seasons 1 - 3.

My local affiltiate airs an abnormal amount of Scully and Jean episodes. Though I do get to see episodes not on DVD, and a few of those era's episodes are personal favorites, most of the time they bore me to tears.
