Comparing two trucks requiring these options 4WD & Double Cabs, 6' bed, and I'm looking for atleast the 2007 model.. Which one do you prefer and why?

Not even close, the Ford F-150 is a much better truck.

Toyota has had all kinds of reliability and build quality issues with the Tundra. I would buy the American built F-150.

This one is so easy I can't believe you're asking, Tundra. Resale value alone is a good enough reason. Add to that the most reliable full size pickup versus one of the least reliable and it's a no brainer that only a red-neck couldn't figure out.

Need more proof, there's a reason the Tundra will cost you 30% more.

no question the F-150. they're built strong they were ONCE made in america and they're good trucks. they might not have as many options or be as appeling to some but there a tride and true workhorse. they're like a ram 2500. might not be the best looking truck or the truck with the most options but they're a workhorse that's for da** sure. the tundra well i ain't keen on them. one they're foreign...two they're weak no power or low end torque...know that one from experience and well they say toyota. the f-150 is built solid and can be breat to hell the toyota is going to quit on you after 90000 the f-150'll run for 150-200000. fords transfer cases are a lot better than toyota's 2. they can take a hell of a lot more abuse and nothing will stop the tires from turning in 4 low other than breaking something. i'd prefer a dodge because they're built a little better than ford when stepped up to a 3/4 ton but ford still makes a good truck...however a toyota is better than a chevy so go with the toyota over a chevy if you don't like the ford.

I would say the Tundra, get a lot more truck for the dollar. Ford's I believe are overpriced for what they are. I am a hardcore GM guy but even the Tundra caught my attention. lets see there 4.7 makes almost 290hp, and the 5.7 puts out around 380hp. Double cab has a lot more room in it comparably to the F-150. Secondly, Toyota is known for its long lasting vehicles. They may sound like crap, but I'll be damn if you can't kill them. I have driven the new tundra's both 4.7 and 5.7 and they are both impressive with power and torque. It might have taken the Japanese a long time to build a full size truck, but they got it right the first time. Also Tundra's hold a better resale value than most full size trucks. My father owns a 07 Tundra double cab XSP 2wd, 4.7L and it was able to pull my buddies Dodge 2500 without even struggling. At no point did the truck even sound like it was struggling pulling that big old Dodge. But to each there own; Just drive them both and see which one fits you better.
