Simple question. Is this paper meeting the requirements of the assignment?

For my Military, Science and Leadership class, I have to "write a paper based on a recent, current or military event highlighted in the media and describe its importance on our country, Examples are the War in Iraq, the Iranian nuclear weapons controversy, the Russian long range missile controversy."

I want to do one on PTSD and its effects on an American "Operation Iraqi Freedom" soldier trying to reintegrate back into society.

Would that be meeting the terms of the paper. Even though it's not an event it is a prevalent psychological illness caused by events (as documented by the media)
