I'm looking for a law(s) which can best fit here:

I subscribe to Internet A. Internet A says if I use it between 20:00 and 8:00, it'll be free of charge. The only thing you have to do is turn off and on the modem past 20:00.

At this point, I asked the customer service. Do I need to turn on/off the modem at 8:00 too? He said no. Later, the technician came and installed the modem at my house. He reminded me again that I need to on/off the modem at 20:00 so I can use internet free of charge. Again, I asked whether I need to turn the modem on/off at 8:00 to signal the end of my usage. He replied no.

However it turns out that you do need to turn on/off at 8:00. I'm going to talk to a customer service soon and would like to know what kind of "lawyer talk" I can use to help my case. Something to do with its negligence to tell me about everything I need to know.
