I ordered the DVD a couple of days ago and watched it last night. OMG I was in tears by the end of it.

Meryl Streep is amazing in it, truly beliveable as Karen Silkwood. What a waste of a life.

What an awful job it must have been to work at that nuclear plant.

Just wondered if anyoe has seen it and what they thought of it.

I caught it on BBC1 a while ago and I really enjoyed it. Like you said, Meryl Streep was fantastic in it, and I quite liked Cher in it too, nice little understated performance there.

She is fantastic in Silkwood. For Meryl Streep lovers -I watched a little afternoon movie the other day where she plays Renee Zellwegers mother. She plays Renne's mother who is dying of cancer. If you like a good weepie it's quite sad and her performance is amazing. It's called One True Thing.

Silkwood is a great film. Meryl Streep is outstanding, as are Cher & Kurt Russell. Have not seen it for a while, but the memory of this film stayed with me.

I saw 'Silkwood' in the cinema when it first came out. Dread to think how long ago that was.
I remember being very impressed with Cher.

i saw it many years ago and remember being very angry at the powers that be...good film.

it's cher who sticks out for me from that film though not meryl streep..so she must have made more of an impression

Saw this film about 10 yrs ago (approx) and thought it was very good. Meryl Streep is one of those actresses that gets overlooked often i think, but i did find this an emotional film and all parts were played well.

Shocking to think this goes on....
