Silent Hill The Movie

I used to have the Silent Hill game on the PS2. It's a horror game like Resident Evil. So i guess it's gonna be a film based on that.

If it is i'll defo watch it :D

Silent Hill is suppose to be released 21st April 2006 in America, no official date for the UK I don't think, but you get an idea of when it's out.

It's directed by Brotherhood of the Wolf director Christophe Gans, so I am all for seeing Silent Hill!

I can't wait to see this film. I hope the makers do it justice - I thought Resident Evil was total crap and an insult to the games. The zombies were so rubbish. :(

I've only played Silent Hill 1 & 2, but by god, are they scary. They've even given me nightmares.
I think it's the abandoned hospital that scared me most, plus walking around the deserted town with fog everywhere and weird noises. And when your radio starts crackling to let you know that something is coming! Eek!

i didnt think the Resident Evil films were that bad , good enjoyable fun without being masterpieces . There is going to be a third one as well i think . I think the Silent Hill film will be the same sort of thing i would imagine . Didnt think the games were that scary though , only played 1 and 2 also .

Good fun?!

The Resident Evil movies were S***, and made no sense at all with the great Resident Evil timeline of the video games or anything at all!

A real insult to true fans of the series and once again the "casual movie going fans" try to do it some justice which it does not derserve EVER!

I cant get myself to complete silent hill 4

it was hard enough to do 1 after playing number 2 because of the difference in graphics!! though i guess it did make it a bit scarier

I'm scared thinking about it. I really can't play that game any more. If a movie could capture taht essence of the game it'd be excellent. That remains to be seen though.

SH 4 was intense. And...slightly dull. Sorry - I hated the whole "kill the evil spirits thing", it ruined the game for me. Outside of the "Room" it was brilliant. But later on...nah.

SH3 is my favourite. Incredibly scary, and I hope the film is something like that but I can't wait to see what they do with it! :D

I got this film a couple of months back on DVD from a car boot sale. Only when I started to watch it I turned it of because it was so crap.

I only discovered that I had the title mixed up and I was watching "Alone In The Dark"!!
Even Christian Slater couldn't keep me entertained whilst watching that crap.
